Top 10 HDTVs Comparison Announced by LCDTVBuyingGuide for LED HDTV and Plasma

Reviewers Robert Wiley and Jack Burden perform a shootout between Samsung, LG, and Panasonic; also release Top 10 lists for LED and Plasma TVs

ATLANTA, May 7, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- New TVs from all the manufacturers for 2013 are entering stores and online shops en mass. Those who are curious about which TVs are going to be the best value can easily be overwhelmed. LCDTVBuyingGuide editors Jack Burden and Robert Wiley have conducted an HDTV shootout to reconcile the matter. They tested the Samsung F8000, LG LA7400, and the Panasonic ST60. Picture quality was the first and most important aspect for judging the TVs. The F8000 took first in this category, Robert Wiley said, "From front and center definitely the strongest contrast and color performance though not as deep a picture as the ST60. There is slight contrast loss from side angles at 30 degrees off center, but the super bright backlighting still allows for a good picture." The smart TV platforms for new TVs are another strong point for comparison. They can add a lot of value to a TV's entire package if done right. Editors have compiled all their notes and ratings for every smart TV platform in one place to make it easy to see which is best on the Smart TV Shootout page. Samsung has a reputation for providing the most content, LG implements some of the most useful features like the Magic Remote, while others boast faster streaming speeds over wifi. Jack Burden did the write up for LG's Smart TV and said, "We have always liked the point and click operation of the Magic remote and still do. It speeds section and browsing. But now this voice control feature has trumped everything before it. It is amazingly accurate. Just press the mic button and speak. We tested the TV browser (Bing) with our favorite difficult site url, "LCD TV Buying Guide" and LG's Smart TV had no problem, pulling up our site #1."

In addition to the shootouts, editors put together lists of the top LED TVs and Plasma TVs for the 2013 year. Picture quality, features value, and price all went into consideration when compiling the lists. The Top LED TVs 2013 list the top 3 as the Samsung UN55F8000, the LG 55LA7400, and the Sony KDL-55W802A. All three of these LED TVs sit high in the line up and feature 3D playback, full Smart TV suites, high refresh rate panels, and great looking designs.

Manufacturers may not be focusing on plasma TV production as much now as they have in the past, but the quality is still top notch. Samsung, Panasonic, and LG are the biggest players left in the plasma TV arena. The Top 10 Plasma TVs 2013 page featured on PlasmaTVBuyingGuide lists some new plasma TVs for 2013 like the Samsung F8500, the Panasonic ST60, and the LG PN6500. These range from top tier to value models, but they all have the excellent picture quality associated with plasma displays.

For those interested in finding the best deal on a new TV, LCDTVBuyingGuide editors have put together a page with the best Plasma and LED TV Deals. They've highlighted some of the best bargains out there to give shoppers the most bang for their buck. Some examples include a 50 inch plasma from LG for less than $600, a 1080p plasma from Panasonic for around $700, and a 32 inch Toshiba LED for less than $300.
